The pink obsession

It is unquestionable that pink is the most girly and feminine hue in the colour spectrum, with its whole range of delightful variations. If you are one of the many pink enthusiast, you will be happy to know that this all time favorite is on top of the list in every 2023 spring summer collection. Fashion designers, in fact, have already established that we will wear pink – in all its shades – for many of the following months. Undoubtedly pink is the perfect colour for spring, full of promises of good things to come. A hue that awakes positive energy and at the same time inspires sensations of peacefulness and relaxation. There are many different shades of pink, each of them suggesting a very defined mood. From the soft and romantic atmospheres of pastel pink, baby pink and candy pink, to the classic and sophisticated accents of dusky pink and peach pink, up to the bold and statement-making fuchsia, a shade which was very popular in the ’80s, and that is having now an obvious resurgence as that glossy decade comes back in fashion. The most interesting shade of pink, as seen on this season’s runways, is precisely a slight, but significant, variation of fuchsia towards a rather warmer tone. It is called pacific pink, as it recalls the enchanting colours of the sunset  over the Pacific ocean. But the most popular shade of pink will definetely be bubble gum pink, alias Barbie pink, set to be one of the favourite trend for all Barbie lovers and ladies in general, after the planetary success of the Hollywood movie starring the marvellous Margot Robbie.
One of this season’s most popular trend is the daring and unexpected mix of pastel colours, like lime green or bright yellow, paired with fuchsia and  pink, creating exuberant combinations that are an injection of vitality and good mood.
But the key piece for this season comes with a monochromatic inspiration, and it is the pink suit, certainly the number one fashion staple to add to your wardrobe. This season the pink suit has enticed the creativity of the best Italian brands and designers, who have created stunning two-pieces sets that are empowering and extremely feminine at the same time, surely a contrast that commands attention.
